Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs arrested in NYC after sex trafficking allegations
"We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office," his lawyer wrote in a statement.
Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested Monday. Page Six has learned he’s being processed at 26 Federal Plaza in NYC. The charges are unclear. “A source says that the hip hop mogul has fully cooperated and voluntarily came to New York in anticipation of the charges,” a source told us Monday. “We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office,” Marc Agnifilo, an attorney for Combs, wrote in a statement. “Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community. “He is an imperfect person but is not a criminal. To his credit, Mr. Combs has been nothing but cooperative with this investigation and he voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges. “Please reserve your judgment until you have all the facts. These are the acts of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court.” Combs has been at the forefront of sexual misconduct allegations ever since his ex-girlfriend Casandra “Cassie” Ventura sued him for rape and physical abuse in November 2023. Ventura alleged the “I’ll Be Missing You” singer started a pattern of abuse, including allegedly making her have sex with male prostitutes throughout their 10-year relationship. She alleged Combs raped her in 2018 before they officially called it quits. The exes settled the lawsuit privately one day after it was filed. Combs, at the time, denied the allegations against him, but a video of him physically abusing Ventura at a hotel in March 2016 was released in May 2024. The hitmaker spoke out about the video days later via Instagram. “My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I’m disgusted,” he said. “I went and I sought out professional help, started going to therapy and rehab, had to ask god for his mercy and grace,” Combs continued.
